First off, thanks for all the work done here. It's really unbelievable how far things have come. I do have a request/question. The Buffalo link that's up seems to be for only Disk 1. Is it possible to get Disk 2 or am I doing something wrong? Thanks

Any word on here about the Omaha concert? If anyone has it, or knows that it is being worked on, please message me! Thanks!

Is this floating around anywhere? We were in section 225, sound was horrible, would love to get a copy to re-listen to. Thanks.

Until Villa gets a chance to pull it over, check the BTX MP3 request thread at http://www.backstreets.com/btx/viewtopi ... start=6240
Quantum posted several songs plus the full show. That thread is a good place to begin the search as shows that appear over here are usually pulled from over there.

Best recordings?

Postby BruceB on Thu Mar 27, 2008 7:06 pm

Would anyone care to opine on the best quality recording(s) from the Magic tour?

I know I could download them all and decide for myself, but I'm hoping someone who's listened to many/all shows would be willing to share their opinion. If you think I'm being lazy, feel free to ignore this request!

By "best", I mean primarily audio quality, since that varies more than performance quality. But of course an exceptional show deserves bonus points. And I care about how it sounds, not the technical specs -- for an audience recording, anything 192kbps or better should be fine.

Thanks!
Bruce in Seattle (looking forward to Saturday's show!)

I don't think you could go wrong with any of these: Boston, Pittsburgh, New York, Paris, or London.
Give a listen to the multi-night shows like New York or Boston (there are others). I've created a CD of the New York shows, keeping the core songs and then pulling in all of the unique songs, placing them where they would have wound up. It made a great 3 cd set and reminded me timewise of the old days. I'm planning a project to do that with the other mutli-nighters I come across.
To give you an idea of what it turned out as, the song list is:

Radio Nowhere / The Ties That Bind / Night / Lonesome Day / Gypsy Biker / Magic / Reason To Believe / Adam Raised A Cain / She's The One / Candy's Room / Livin' In The Future / The Promised Land / Brilliant Disguise / Tougher Than The Rest / Town Called Heartbreak / Meeting Across The River / Jungleland / Backstreets / Darlington County / The Devil's Arcade / The Rising / The Last To Die / Long Walk Home / Badlands / Encores: Girls In Their Summer Clothes / Thundercrack / You Can Look... / Born To Run / Dancing In The Dark / American Land

So it maintains the theme and flow of the show, but offers more music.
